Knowledge should travel further than the rooms where it is created.
I am Enamul Haque: an author, Adjunct Professor, enterprise technology leader, educator and practitioner. For more than three decades, technology has been the constant thread through my life, across global organisations, enterprise transformation, architecture, books, university teaching and public learning.
Those activities may look different. To me, they are part of the same work: understand complex ideas deeply, apply them in the real world, and make that knowledge easier for others to use.

A CAREER ACROSS TECHNOLOGY ERAS
The technology changed. The questions stayed.
My career began before artificial intelligence became a boardroom priority or digital transformation became an industry phrase. I have worked through several generations of enterprise technology, but I have kept returning to the same questions: What is this technology really for? Why do we need it? Will it actually work? How should organisations govern it? And how can it expand human capability rather than simply add complexity?
EARLY 1990s
Computing foundations
Cours de Mathématiques Spéciales at EPFL, Lausanne, followed by computer science at the University of Geneva. The foundations were mathematical, technical and deeply shaped by teachers who treated computing as a discipline of curiosity.
1990s
International computing
Professional experience in Switzerland with UNHCR and the International Telecommunication Union, working inside international organisations where technology, information and public purpose met at scale.
2000s to 2010s
Enterprise transformation
Nokia headquarters in Finland, then Microsoft, HCL Technologies and Capgemini: knowledge management, process ownership, cloud, enterprise architecture and consulting across changing technology eras.
2020s
The intelligent enterprise
My work at Wipro brings together enterprise platforms, ServiceNow, artificial intelligence, architecture and transformation, with increasing focus on what organisations must build around AI for it to become sustainable capability.
A FORMATIVE INFLUENCE
Professor Paolo Zanella
During my years in Geneva, one of the people who most influenced my direction was Professor Paolo Zanella. He inspired me to study computer science at the University of Geneva and helped shape the way I thought about the subject, education and the responsibility to pass knowledge to others.
Before teaching in Geneva, Professor Zanella had held senior computing leadership responsibilities at CERN. The computing teams he led and supported formed part of the infrastructure environment around the period in which the World Wide Web emerged at CERN. For me, however, the most important connection was personal: his guidance left an indelible mark on my own journey.
Many years later, I dedicated AI Horizons to him. The dedication says what I still believe today: his guidance shaped my understanding of computer science and instilled in me a passion for sharing knowledge with others.

ACADEMIA & RESEARCH
Industry experience belongs in the classroom.
I serve as an Adjunct Professor at Bangladesh Maritime University, contributing to education in artificial intelligence, maritime cybersecurity and autonomous systems. The appointment has particular meaning to me: it connects decades of international technology experience with an opportunity to contribute knowledge to the country where my own story began.
I have also taught and spoken with students at institutions including Coventry University in London, Queen Mary University of London and other education communities. My research footprint is modest but real, with indexed work and citations available through Google Scholar.
SPEAKING & PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT
A good technology conversation should leave people with greater clarity.
Speaking gives me another way to connect ideas with people. The audience may be senior technology professionals, postgraduate students, younger learners or people encountering a subject for the first time. The objective remains the same: better questions, clearer thinking and something useful to take away.

KNOWLEDGE SHARING IS PART OF THE WORK
Access to technology knowledge should not depend on language, geography or the ability to pay.
For much of my professional life, I worked in environments where knowledge was abundant but highly concentrated: global companies, consulting organisations, technology vendors and professional conferences. Outside those environments are millions of capable people who do not have the same access. That gap matters to me.
It is why I write books, teach university students and create public learning through Digital Deep Dive, Tech Talks Bangla, Udemy, GitBook and practical labs. I try to take subjects that can appear intimidating: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data, ServiceNow and computer science. I try to give people a way into them.
Not everyone needs to become a technologist. But everyone deserves the opportunity to understand the technology reshaping their world.
