Avoid making these mistakes while preparing your CV!!
✅ Using different font and text colours

✅ Using very bright colours as the background
Never choose bright colours like yellow, pink, red etc. as the background for your CV. It puts a bad impression.
✅ Prepare an ATS friendly resume
The applicant tracking system (ATS) is software that automatically scans your resume and determines whether or not it’s relevant for the position. There are a lot of ATS friendly templates available on google.
✅ Using incorrect grammar and making spelling mistakes
Do proofreading at least 3-4 times before finalizing your CV. Avoid grammatical errors as much as possible. And use spell check before you save your CV for sending.
✅ Do not add your address
Do not add your address in your CV. The recruiter is only interested in your city and state.
✅ Use a cover letter
Using cover letters these days is so underrated. Using a cover letter puts up a good impression of you in the eyes of the recruiter. You can find a proforma cover letter on my featured posts!
✅ Stick to a single-page CV
Recruiters do not have much time to read the entire history of your life. Mention only the most important achievements and let the rest be discussed when he/she calls you to ask more about you.
✅ Mention your experience in one-two liners instead of just writing the company name
✅ Do not write like a dozen of hobbies and skills
Pick and choose which hobbies and skills you want to add to your resume smartly. Don’t exaggerate any skills unnecessarily.
The recruiter might ask you some questions about your skills, and if he then understands that you have no clue about them, he would definitely not like it.
Remember, your recruiter is smarter than you. He’s been through all of this many more times than you have.”
