Participating in Knowledge 23 was an enlightening experience, presenting a crystal clear vision of the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the enterprise sector. As an attendee, I witnessed the transformative powers of Generative AI, particularly its impact on ServiceNow.

The event’s highlight undoubtedly announced a ground-breaking collaboration between ServiceNow and NVIDIA. Both CEOs, Bill McDermott of ServiceNow and Jensen Huang of NVIDIA, were in attendance, expressing their shared vision of infusing Generative AI into the ServiceNow platform. Their joint goal? To supercharge business processes through faster, more intelligent workflow automation.

ServiceNow’s Chief Product Officer, CJ Desai, later took the stage to unveil the Generative AI adoption roadmap, showcasing the planned trajectory of AI integration within the platform.

Over the course of Knowledge 23, I had the privilege of attending several insightful sessions. These included discussions on fostering safer and more trustworthy Generative AI workflows, the integration of ChatGPT and OpenAI into ServiceNow, kickstarting Generative AI on the Now Platform, using large language models and AI in Flow Designer, and future AI research trends. These sessions provided a comprehensive overview of the rapidly developing landscape of AI within ServiceNow.

The ServiceNow-NVIDIA partnership represents a significant step forward in applying Generative AI within enterprise environments. Together, they are developing custom large language models trained on data specifically for the ServiceNow Platform. This allows these models to comprehend and address company-specific queries and language – an area that generative AI has traditionally struggled with.

This collaboration is set to expand ServiceNow’s AI capabilities across the board. It will enhance workflow automation and improve productivity, benefiting many stakeholders, including IT departments, customer service teams, employees, and developers.

The applications of Generative AI within IT are substantial. This technology can revolutionise IT service and operations management, from ticket summarisation and semantic search to auto-routing of tickets and automatic issue resolution.

ServiceNow is making full use of NVIDIA’s AI Foundations cloud services, the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, and the NVIDIA NeMo framework. These tools offer comprehensive support for developers in creating, customising, and deploying language models suitable for enterprise applications.
